The Mental Health Association of Southeast Florida has been serving the community for 60 years, originally as the Mental Health Association of Broward County and recently expanding its service area to include Miami-Dade County. Its mission is to work for mental health and victory over mental illness and related challenges through education, prevention, advocacy, research and empowerment.
Marcia Pinck has been affiliated with MHA for 30+ years, first as a six-year board member and then contracted to provide Education & Outreach as the Association’s Campaign Director for the National MHA Campaign for America’s Mental Health and Project Manager for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Outreach Partnership Program as the Outreach Partner for the State of Florida. She also serves as Coordinator of Professional Membership and Continuing Education for mental health professionals and is the Editor of Connections, a guide to behavioral health resources.
Free resources on a wide range of behavioral health topics are available, as well as In-Service training for your company. Marcia is a current member and former Board Member of BCOA and was honored as one of the inaugural exceptional connectors at MonarchCare’s Connector’s Coronation. She is always ready to help out and welcomes collaboration with other organizations.
