Arlene Lakin is a Florida Bar “board certified” & A-V (Martindale
-Hubbell) pre-eminent rated elder law attorney whose law offices are located in Margate and in Pompano Beach. Mrs. Lakin’s law practice focuses on wills, trusts (including special needs trusts), probate, guardianship, as well as public benefits, such as Medicaid, social security, and veterans benefits. Mrs. Lakin received both her Bachelor and Masters’ degrees from Tulane University, and her law degree from Nova Southeastern University.
She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, and the elder law section of the Florida Bar. Mrs. Lakin serves as co-chair of the Broward County Bar Association elder law section
Mrs. Lakin serves on the Board of numerous organizations including: Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine, JAFCO’s Abilities Center, the Childrens’ Services Council “Special Needs Advisory Coalition,” & the Northwest Focal Point Senior Center.
She is also the founding president of Florida’s Voice on Developmental Disabilities, a statewide advocacy and networking organization for families and friends of persons with developmental disabilities.
